Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the opening shift, including managing food orders, inventory, and menu updates.
  • Ensure efficient back-of-house operations, including food preparation and staff supervision.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff while promoting a positive work culture.
  • Manage food costs and inventory, including daily product orders.
  • Collaborate with management to create prep lists and assign tasks to kitchen staff.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on menu items throughout service.
  • Maintain and review recipe documentation in partnership with management.
  • Facilitate effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and development of kitchen staff.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.
  • Handle guest and vendor interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a full-service restaurant.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen teams.
  • Expertise in managing back-of-house operations.
