Ema Chicago is seeking a Head Chef

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the opening shift operations, including food ordering, inventory management, and menu adjustments.
  • Manage and ensure the efficiency of back-of-house operations, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Provide leadership and support to kitchen staff while promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Monitor food costs and manage the procurement of food supplies.
  • Collaborate with management to create daily prep lists and assign tasks to kitchen staff.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on menu items.
  • Work with management to maintain and update recipe documentation.
  • Facilitate effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and development of kitchen staff.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.
  • Handle guest and vendor interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Be flexible with work schedules, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
  • Lift and move items as necessary, adhering to safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Head Chef in a full-service dining environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop culinary teams.
  • Expertise in managing back-of-house operations.

Salary Range: USD $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
