Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the opening shift operations, including food ordering, inventory management, and menu updates.
  • Ensure efficient back-of-house operations, including food preparation and cooking, while supervising kitchen staff.
  • Provide leadership and support to both hourly and management teams, promoting a culture of care.
  • Manage food costs and procurement of supplies, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to create daily prep lists and assign production tasks.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on menu items throughout service.
  • Maintain and review recipe documentation in partnership with management.
  • Facilitate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams regarding food production and special requests.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and development of back-of-house staff.
  • Promote teamwork and effective collaboration across all teams.
  • Handle guest, vendor, and employee interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Be flexible with work schedules, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items as required.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a full-service restaurant environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop culinary teams.
  • Expertise in managing back-of-house operations.
