Customer Service Representative
Sumitomo Wiring Systems (U.S.A.), Inc., part of the Sumitomo Electric Group, is seeking a dedicated and full-time Customer Service Representative.
Role Overview:- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for designated customer accounts and manufacturing locations.
- Order Processing: Oversee all customer orders to guarantee precise order entry, timely shipment, and prompt handling of expedited requests.
- Order Evaluation: Process orders/releases and assess data for appropriate order quantities.
- Inventory Oversight: Track stock levels to ensure product availability; liaise with customers and suppliers for timely delivery of goods.
- Delivery Coordination: Supervise shipping timelines to ensure prompt delivery of customer orders and communicate order status effectively.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other related tasks as required.
- Develop spreadsheets to monitor essential customer data and orders.
- Transfer data from various sources into the system.
- Organize existing data for better accessibility.
- Verify and update outdated records as necessary.
- Utilize standard office equipment efficiently.
- Conduct research on information within files.
- Input both textual and numerical data accurately.
- Provide administrative assistance as needed.
- Sort and manage physical paperwork post data entry.
- Review data for errors or inconsistencies.
- Assist with special projects requiring extensive data entry.
- Offer data entry support across various departments as needed.
- Demonstrate efficient typing skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer operations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Thoroughness in tasks.
- Analytical thinking.
- Support all customer service-related tasks.
- Process and manage customer orders.
- Document and file received orders accurately.
- Address and resolve customer and vendor issues regarding deliveries.
- Initiate purchase requisitions as required.
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism.
- Compile and prepare reports for assigned accounts.
- Prepare necessary credit and debit memos.
- Investigate claims of unpaid invoices.
- Follow up on back order reports.
- Prepare quotations upon customer requests.
- Assist with monthly forecasting.
- Support daily customer inquiries.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
- Experience in customer negotiations.
- Prior customer service experience.
- Typing speed of 40-45 WPM with high accuracy.
The compensation for this role ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, a comprehensive benefits package is offered to recognize and reward employee contributions.
