Our client is looking for a Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor will oversee and manage daily testing operations while also providing project-based support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the development and validation of equipment and methods to support various qualifications and re-qualifications, ensuring all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ensuring thorough testing of raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and stability samples, while providing analytical support to Research and Development teams.
  • Coordinating laboratory testing to support daily production activities and projects, ensuring timely evaluations and delivery of products.
  • Maintaining compliance with cGMP standards for laboratory instruments, chemicals, and reagents, while managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Acting as a liaison between the company and instrument vendors for compliance, repairs, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Preparing essential laboratory documentation, including test methods, protocols, and reports, while reviewing the work of laboratory personnel.
  • Collaborating with Production, R&D, and Quality teams to monitor laboratory performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to laboratory staff in their daily operations.
  • Conducting all activities in compliance with the highly regulated specialty chemical industry.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated specialty chemical environment, with supervisory experience.
  • Training and/or experience in methods development, validation, and stability testing within the regulated specialty chemical sector.
  • Proficiency in scientific report writing is essential.
  • Familiarity with chromatographic and spectroscopic instruments.
  • Understanding of cGMP, ISO, and ICH guidelines.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally may be necessary.

A valid driver's license and current state-required minimum vehicle insurance coverage are necessary for site access.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is required.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday during regular business hours.
