About the Role

The Digital Sales Manager will be responsible for driving online sales for Clinique across a portfolio of department store accounts, including Nordstrom, Ulta, Belk, Boscovs, Saks, and Neiman Marcus. This role will work closely with the Director of E-commerce to contribute to and participate in brand retail strategy and planning meetings, exploring and leading seasonal digital marketing program opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain monthly Retailer Refresh and Side by Side Calendars to ensure plan execution.
  • Maintain and distribute changes to Retailer Refresh Calendars to track business and keep boutiques updated and fresh.
  • Create a best-in-class brand boutique experience with conversion-driven assets, including product descriptions, images, educational content, and videos.
  • Monitor business to achieve fiscal sales goals, tracking individual accounts monthly sales targets and securing best initiatives as needed to meet sales and brand goals.
  • Identify opportunities to build business and drive sales to achieve sales and brand goals, unique to the beauty category.
  • Work with the field team to support and manage the creation and execution of all promotional activities and merchandising strategy (launches and re-promotes).
  • Liaise with retailers and the NA team to strategize participation in promotional activity, merchandising strategy, in-store program adaptation, seasonal planning, etc.
  • Host monthly/weekly calls with each retailer to review online business and other business topics, such as product launch details, boutique site updates, sampling, and issue detailed recaps.
  • Secure samples for retailer programs and work through NA Marketing and Account Leads & Planners to source and ship samples in a timely manner, kitting/bundling as necessary.
  • Manage implementation and QA of promotion plans for retail partners and measurement of online marketing/promotion success.
  • Escalate issues or enhancements and suggest partner site improvements to the team and brand partners.
  • Work with retail partners to obtain analytics on retailer programs as well as overall sales goals/strategies.
  • Manage Sponsored Product Campaigns with vendors to drive business with select Retailers.
  • Provide monthly business recaps, including successful programs or working with NA on offset strategy for any liabilities.
  • Support the creation of presentation decks for upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the retailer, online marketing, or e-commerce area.
  • College degree required.
  • Working knowledge of retail business acumen and e-commerce best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence across groups.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task; Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; Strong organizational skills; Pro-active problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong business writing skills, including PowerPoint.
  • Aptitude for working with Internet tools (i.e., web-based reports, databases, and various multimedia technologies).
  • Experience in online marketing and merchandising.
  • Understanding of website metrics, data analysis, and reporting tools.
