Environmental Project Manager


Plexus Scientific Corporation is actively seeking an Environmental Project Manager (PM) to enhance our Environmental Remediation Group (ERG). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse array of projects, ensuring that key milestones are met for various remedial investigations, feasibility studies, designs, and construction activities. This role will also involve managing long-term monitoring and site closure projects, including those addressing PFAS as a chemical of concern.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership on multiple projects or a singular large-scale project to meet contract performance objectives, timelines, and financial targets.
  • Supervise team members and subcontractors assigned to your projects.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, drafting, reviewing, and editing project documentation in support of other ERG initiatives.
  • Keep company management informed about project performance and seek assistance when necessary to achieve superior Contractor Performance Assessment Rating System (CPARS) ratings.
  • Support the Group's strategic goals by preparing competitive technical and cost proposals.
  • Ensure that client personnel are regularly updated on project status and informed of any risks, along with mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular cost-to-complete analyses on fixed-price projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.
  • Achieve project objectives to ensure client satisfaction and enhance the likelihood of follow-on work.
  • Travel may be required for project site visits across the continental United States, with varying scopes depending on project needs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) registration/license is mandatory.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, particularly in managing CERCLA and RCRA projects, is preferred.
  • Experience in fieldwork, workplan development, project management, data analysis, and report preparation is essential.
  • The successful candidate will exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, motivation, and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities and meticulous attention to detail are required.
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in a leadership capacity is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
