Environmental Project Manager


Plexus Scientific Corporation, a leader in environmental solutions, is on the lookout for an Environmental Project Manager (PM) to enhance our Environmental Remediation Group (ERG). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse range of projects aimed at achieving key milestones in various areas such as remedial investigations, feasibility assessments, design, and execution of remedial actions, including long-term monitoring and site closure activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and leadership on multiple projects or a significant project to ensure the fulfillment of contract performance objectives, timelines, and financial targets.
  • Supervise project teams, including employees and subcontractors, to ensure effective project execution.
  • Assist in organizing, planning, drafting, reviewing, and editing project documentation in support of other ERG initiatives.
  • Keep company management informed about project performance and seek assistance when necessary to maintain high Contractor Performance Assessment Rating System (CPARS) ratings.
  • Contribute to the Group's objectives by preparing competitive technical and cost proposals.
  • Maintain clear communication with client personnel regarding project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular cost-to-complete analyses on fixed-price projects.
  • Foster effective communication with clients, regulatory bodies, and team members.
  • Ensure project goals are met to guarantee client satisfaction and enhance the likelihood of future project opportunities.
  • Be prepared for periodic business travel across the continental United States, acting as the technical lead at project sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) registration/license is mandatory.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, particularly in managing CERCLA and RCRA projects, including remedial investigations and feasibility studies, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in fieldwork, workplan development, project management, data analysis, and report preparation is essential.
  • The successful candidate will exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Strong organizational and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in a leadership capacity is important.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
