Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at St. Barnabas. As a key member of our call center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues while ensuring a safe and professional healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and professional responses to patient inquiries, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a respectful manner.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including scripting and electronic verification of patient appointments.
  • Schedule appointments and verify patient data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Route calls to appropriate personnel, such as RNs for clinical issues, and embody the mission, vision, and patient excellence values in all communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and adhering to quality standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required, with 6 months' experience as a registrar preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
