Job Summary:
The Institute for Family Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the patient schedule in our electronic health record system.
- Make reminder and no-show calls to patients and provide schedule information to the practice.
- Print, schedule, and confirm appointments, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and staff.
- Perform a complete registration of patient clinical, financial, and demographic information into our electronic health record system.
- Collect cash from patients for charges and co-payments, and complete all necessary documents for payments accrued.
- Request patient charts from our Medical Records Department for distribution, and search for missing charts as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year customer service experience required.
- Demonstrated typing skills for CRT input required.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately conduct and record a patient interview, to obtain clinical, demographic, and financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and to deal calmly with individuals under stress.
- Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred.
