Academic Role in Acute Care Surgery

The University of Missouri School of Medicine is in search of a motivated professional to enhance the Division of Acute Care Surgery. The Frank L. Mitchell Jr., MD Trauma Center at MU Healthcare is recognized as a state-designated and ACS verified Level I trauma center, catering primarily to a rural patient demographic. This Division has a distinguished history of excellence in providing care for trauma patients, elective and emergency surgical cases, as well as surgical critical care within a dedicated Trauma-Surgical ICU and specialized burn care.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Completion of an accredited surgical critical care fellowship
  • Dedication to the ongoing development of clinical services and educational activities

Candidates will be assessed based on their qualifications in surgical critical care or relevant clinical experience.

Priority will be given to candidates from diverse backgrounds.
