Role: Academic Rheumatology

The University of Missouri School of Medicine, specifically within the Division of Rheumatology, is offering a remarkable opportunity for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to assume the role of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Faculty members in this division play a crucial role in the ongoing development and enhancement of clinical services, as well as in the education of medical students, residents, and rheumatology fellows.

Our institution operates a bustling University clinic that provides care for patients with a diverse range of rheumatic conditions. Additionally, we have clinics located at a nearby VA hospital, and outreach clinics are available within a reasonable distance. The division currently hosts three rheumatology fellows and is supported by an experienced Nurse Practitioner. Collaborative opportunities exist with Pulmonary Medicine and Nephrology, including a monthly joint clinic with Dermatology.

New faculty members will have the chance to establish Rheumatology-Pulmonary and Rheumatology-Ophthalmology clinics, as well as to develop a curriculum focused on musculoskeletal ultrasound, with funding available for training and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • For the purpose of this application, board-certified/board-eligible candidates are regarded as experienced.
