The University of Missouri-Columbia is in search of a dedicated full-time faculty member to join the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. We are looking for candidates who possess outstanding clinical expertise and a genuine enthusiasm for education. Individuals interested in participating in research and scholarly activities are particularly encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Position Highlights:

  • Clinical Responsibilities: 8 clinic sessions weekly
  • Faculty Composition: 9 members
    • Includes 2 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Support Team:
    • Includes LPN and CNA personnel
    • 2 on-site diabetes educators
    • Certified dietitian with pump certification
  • On-call Duties: 1 in 6, home call
  • Hospital Partnership:
    • 400-bed tertiary referral center
    • Level I trauma center
    • Ellis Fischel Cancer Center

Educational Environment

  • Thriving fellowship program in Endocrinology with a proven track record, graduating three fellows annually
  • Internal Medicine and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs with approximately 80 residents combined
  • Medical School with 128 students per class

Research Opportunities

  • NIH-funded research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, focusing on vascular remodeling, repair, and regeneration; bioenergetics; heart failure; precision nutrition; and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
  • The NextGen Precision Health building, a cutting-edge facility, is designed to support research in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders
  • Current clinical trials are conducted within the clinics and the Clinical Research Center, which accommodates both inpatient and outpatient trials
