Position Overview

APA International is seeking a dedicated Associate level Credit Analyst to join our dynamic Corporate Banking Department focused on the Japanese and Asian markets. This role is pivotal in providing analytical and administrative support to our Relationship Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive analysis and research on borrower performance, including cash flow assessments and risk capital evaluations.
  • Compile necessary documentation to structure financial deals, collaborate with internal teams for KYC compliance, and assist in drafting preliminary memos for the Credit Department.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the loan portfolio, addressing various system and procedural matters related to borrowers, such as internal grading and reporting.
  • Support the execution of amendments, dividend transactions, loan closings, and other credit-related events affecting borrowers.
  • Assist in the creation of client-facing materials, including presentations, proposals, and term sheets.
  • Engage in research and analytics pertaining to specific sectors and market conditions to inform decision-making.
  • Generate ad hoc reports for management as required.

Qualifications

  • Formal credit training from a recognized financial institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a corporate banking or financial institution setting.
  • Familiarity with banking operations and previous internships in financial environments are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting, or equivalent education and training is preferred.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Remote work options are available for qualified candidates.
