Position Overview

ABC and LOL Child Care Center and Preschool is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Infant Care Educator to nurture and guide our youngest learners. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in clear and effective communication with colleagues and families.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills to ensure a productive classroom environment.

  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Design and implement weekly lesson plans that promote age-appropriate learning.
  • Keep an updated record of food allergies, feeding schedules, and individual needs of children.
  • Prepare daily reports for parents, including documentation of any incidents.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
  • Create monthly newsletters to inform families about upcoming events and classroom activities.
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences biannually.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 20 years old and meet one of the following educational criteria:
  • Possess an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child/Human Services, or a related field;
  • Hold a VT Early Childhood Career Ladder level 3 certificate;
  • Complete 21 college-level credits focused on early education or a related discipline;
  • Have a Child Care Certificate from an accredited institution;
  • Complete a Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children aged three and younger is required.
  • Training and certifications must include:
  • A minimum of 50 hours of professional development annually, current first aid and CPR certification, and completion of required training sessions.
  • Familiarity with the Child Care Licensing Regulations set forth by the state is essential.
  • Successful completion of background and fingerprint checks is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months is highly desirable.
