The Opportunity:

Global Capital Markets ("GCM") acts as ING's connection between the extensive capital markets investor base and our Wholesale banking clients.

GCM's objective is to effectively originate, structure, and distribute various forms of credit and selected equity to the broader institutional investor community.

The High Yield DCM team collaborates closely with coverage bankers and other product specialists within the ING network, providing advice on capital structures and funding opportunities, as well as marketing and executing High Yield bond transactions for both new and repeat corporate and sponsor-owned issuers, projects, or event-driven situations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role: You will take charge of a diverse range of DCM relationships across various sectors and contribute to the growth of the US HY bond business.

You will actively spearhead business development, origination, and transactional activities.

You will serve as the lead or deal captain for specific DCM transactions, securing necessary internal approvals and acting as the primary point of contact both externally and internally.

You will take the lead in critical transaction management activities.

You will coordinate all facets of a pitch or the execution of a live transaction, ensuring high-quality deliverables to clients at all times.

Prepare internal underwriting requests for new transactions. Lead internal syndicate discussions.
Engage in frequent internal discussions with sector and sponsor coverage bankers to identify business opportunities.
You will oversee and review the work of junior team members.

You will be capable of leading without a formal management title and will gather the necessary support and resources to serve clients and execute deals.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, relevant sectors, and market trends.
Achieve revenue targets.

Profile:

Qualifications / Education:
Minimum of BA/BS in Business or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Global Capital Markets or a related field.
Series 79, 63 licenses.

Experience / Knowledge:


You are a seasoned, fully qualified professional capable of independent activity, including origination, structuring, and execution of large, complex bond transactions in the High Yield bond market.

You possess proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution capabilities.

You have exceptional client relationship, marketing presentation, and sales skills, along with a profound understanding of products and markets.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Bloomberg.

Base Salary Range:
$230K - $270K
