About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Management Consultant to join our team at 020 Travelers Indemnity Co. As a key member of our Risk Control team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients manage and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to service customers as a unified team.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for multiple/diverse businesses with high complexity, including manufacturing, large warehouse operations, and challenging property, products liability exposures.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to help clients control losses.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on risk management best practices.
  • Stay current with technical subject matters, regulatory environment, and emerging issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their risk management needs are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or related technical fields.
  • Advanced level knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.
  • Graduate degree in related field.
  • Recognized relevant certifications (such as ASP, CSP, ARM).
  • Technical aptitude, detail-oriented.
  • Superior communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with all others.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Influencing skills that effectively drive business needs.
  • Negotiating change to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ability to give and receive coaching and feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in safety, risk control, or related fields in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or military.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must have or be able to attain appropriate certification to meet specific state requirements where applicable.
