We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Senior Underwriter to join our Cyber – Large Accounts underwriting team, which represents our premier portfolio and continues to expand dynamically. The selected candidate will manage a renewal portfolio while generating new business through exemplary underwriting practices across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Underwriter will develop and implement a strategic business plan aimed at expanding the current Large Accounts portfolio, in alignment with the overarching Cyber business strategy.
- Support the achievement of profitable premium and rate objectives, collaborating with actuarial and claims teams to ensure results align with financial targets.
- Work collaboratively across various business units and functions to utilize existing resources for underwriting, managing, and servicing a cyber and technology renewal portfolio while generating new business in line with Cyber underwriting unit goals.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in the assessment and evaluation of risk.
- Engage in discussions regarding risk assessment and management.
- Negotiate with producers within the scope of delegated authority and established underwriting standards to meet profit objectives.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with assigned brokers and clients to identify and establish new distribution channels.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, services, priorities, and target markets to effectively assist clients in identifying concealed cyber risks.
- Enhance the company's reputation by participating in industry conferences and events, while also taking leadership roles in client and broker meetings to educate on the evolving landscape of cyber risk.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal standards.
The role will report to the Head of Large Accounts Standard.
