As a Senior Construction Claims Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to manage and resolve intricate, specialized, and high-stakes Primary and Excess Construction Defect claims. This will involve thorough investigation, assessment, and resolution of claims. You may also be tasked with overseeing and monitoring underlying aggregates and primary files to ensure accurate reporting of potential exposures. Your role will encompass a diverse range of claims, including both admitted and non-admitted policies. You will be expected to provide informed recommendations to management regarding coverage and settlement options.

You will proactively manage the collection, organization, and analysis of information, ensuring reserve adequacy, mitigating AXA Group's Risk/Loss Exposure, managing litigation, and developing effective strategies for the disposition of all reported losses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your essential duties will include:

· Comprehensive technical claims management.

· Assessment of applicable AXA Group coverage and drafting coverage position letters independently.

· Implementation of appropriate risk transfer strategies.

· Ensuring timely and sufficient reserving, along with the proper management of high-exposure, complex claims.

· Conducting thorough loss investigations on all assigned claims and identifying potential recoveries while adhering to established standards and budget constraints.

· Providing technical oversight of Third-Party Administrators.

· Maintaining accountability for all assigned claims until resolution is achieved.

· Evaluating exposure, establishing adequate reserves, and making timely adjustments as necessary.

· Keeping a precise written record of all relevant activities related to claims and ensuring compliance with procedural and documentation standards.

· Timely reporting and appropriate communication with reinsurers.

· Building and nurturing relationships with internal AXA Group departments.

· Regularly updating the Claims Manager with summaries and reports, including statistical data as required.

· Staying informed about market trends and collaborating with the Claims Manager for personal development.

· Anticipating and fulfilling the needs of both internal and external customers.

· Mentoring or training less experienced claims representatives.

· Adhering to and managing the expense budget.

You will report directly to the Claims Manager - Construction North America.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking candidates who possess the following:

· Significant progress towards an insurance or industry-related qualification is preferred.

· Extensive experience in managing construction defect claims.

· A commitment to the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
