Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview:
The Lead Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the monthly closing activities for both divisional and corporate entities.
This position involves the preparation and review of journal entries, comprehensive analysis and publication of financial statements, project leadership, and mentorship of other members within the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial statements across various divisions with unique product lines.
2. Conduct inventory cost research and deliver monthly cost analysis.
3. Identify inconsistencies in reporting, document problem areas, and propose effective solutions.
4. Provide support for the D365 ERP system help desk, addressing inquiries from all divisions.
5. Oversee assigned projects, ensuring that objectives and deadlines are achieved.
6. Evaluate existing processes for potential efficiencies.
7. Maintain subsidiary ledgers, including fixed asset management and lease accounting.
8. Mentor Finance team members to enhance their expertise.
9. Execute other related tasks as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required.
A minimum of three years of accounting experience is essential.
Experience in a distribution or manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and their implications.
A continuous improvement mindset is essential.
Proven ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at both strategic and operational levels.
Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
