Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Dorman Products. This role will play a critical part in our company's growth and success in the off-roading industry.

Key Responsibilities

**Financial Reconciliation and Reporting**

The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling, filing, and managing all non-payroll related company tax obligations, sales/COGS reconciliation, and other various reconciliations and accrual accounting.

**Fixed Assets and Depreciation Management**

They will be responsible for CIP tracking, fixed assets, and depreciation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

**Financial Analysis and Planning**

The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements and contribution margin reporting, as well as conduct financial analysis to inform business decisions.

**Audit and Compliance**

They will be responsible for audit prep, tax prep, and 1099 reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

**Insurance and Risk Management**

The candidate will register and notify insurance of vehicle purchases, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

**Manufacturing Cost Control**

They will be responsible for standard and actual manufacturing cost calculation and reporting, as well as standard cost variance calculation and reporting.

**Cycle Counting and Inventory Management**

The Senior Accountant will ensure cycle count accuracy and reporting, maintaining accurate inventory levels.

**SOX Compliance**

They will ensure SOX compliance in all finance duties, maintaining a high level of integrity and accuracy.

**Team Support**

The candidate will provide backup support to other general accountant positions, ensuring seamless operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess:

  • **Comfortable in a fast-paced environment**
  • **Strong analytical skills and be a self-starter**
Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
