POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Clinical Nurse II is a registered nurse who collaborates as an integral member of the healthcare team, consistently ensuring safe practices within the established professional framework.

  • This nurse independently delivers patient care by applying the nursing process and takes responsibility for the care of assigned patients, who may vary in age from infants to the elderly.
  • The Clinical Nurse II demonstrates proficiency in the domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice, Leadership, Person and Family-Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork.
  • This role involves close collaboration with the interprofessional healthcare team to ensure coordinated care across the continuum, focusing on enhancing the knowledge and skills necessary for providing individualized care that considers the physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-related needs of patients.
  • The Clinical Nurse II actively seeks feedback in leadership roles and contributes to improving clinical practices, demonstrating how nursing impacts the organizational vision, mission, and care delivery system while adhering to all regulatory standards.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education
  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Work Experience
  • Over 15 months of relevant professional nursing experience and completion of the Nurse Residency Program, if applicable.
  • Licenses / Certifications
  • Pennsylvania RN licensure is required.
  • BLS/CPR certification as a healthcare provider per the American Heart Association is required.
