About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our Bickford of Iowa City team. As the operations leader, you will drive the culture and performance of our branch, working closely with department managers to ensure excellent resident care and engagement, optimal sales results, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of branch operations, interacting with staff and residents to build strong relationships and ensure a positive experience.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, direct, and motivate branch staff, providing assistance as needed to ensure optimal branch performance.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Attract, retain, and develop top talent within the branch, ensuring that staff are appropriately trained and developed to meet resident needs.
  • Resident Relations: Maintain positive resident relations, being accessible and approachable to residents and their families.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales in collaboration with the Branch Sales Leader to ensure the branch meets occupancy and net operating income targets.
  • Facilities and Maintenance: Ensure buildings, grounds, and property are in good order, partnering with Divisional operations support and the corporate office.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Enforce current Company policies and procedures, ensuring the branch is in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: High-school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field preferred.
  • Licensure: Necessary licensure to operate an Assisted Living Facility as outlined by local state regulations.
  • Experience: Experience managing business operations, with senior housing operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications; written and verbal communication skills; organizational and time management skills; good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Certifications: A valid driver's license and a driving record consistent with Bickford's insurance carrier guidelines.
