Job SummaryThe RN Progressive Care will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader to provide professional nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. This role requires the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while also collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, utilizing the nursing process
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Develop and implement teaching strategies for patients and families
- Document patient education and learning in the health record
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years
