RN Progressive Care Specialist

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled RN Progressive Care Specialist to join our team at Farmington Hills Hospital. As a member of our Progressive Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients who require cardiac drips, ventilated patients, and those that require a higher level of supportive care.
About the RoleThe RN Progressive Care Specialist will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader and utilize the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months
- Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years
