Job Title: Postdoctoral Scholar

Job Summary:

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on developing engineering principles to guide on-demand biosensor design towards Industry 4.0 applications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct research in the field of biosensors and bioelectronics, with a focus on developing new materials and techniques for on-demand biosensor design.
* Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions based on the results.
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the principles of electrochemistry, surface chemistry, and protein chemistry.
* Communicate research findings through presentations, publications, and reports.

Requirements:

* PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
* Strong mathematic background.
* Experience in two or more of the following areas: electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, protein chemistry and protein engineering, surface chemistry, biomanufacturing/bioprocessing.
* Leadership experience.
* Great communication and mentorship skills.
* Experience towards Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Additional scientific skills: quartz crystal microbalance, microfluidics, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, attenuated tunneling reflectance - Fourier transform infrared, atomic force microscopy, other surface analysis.
* Other electrochemistry knowledge: familiar with communication tools, Slack, Zoom, Teams.
