We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering or physical sciences and experience in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, protein chemistry, surface chemistry, and biomanufacturing/bioprocessing.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in surface modification of proteins and assessment of stimulus response of dynamic stimuli-responsive surface proteins using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
- Develop and implement new research methods and techniques to advance the field of biosensors.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations.
- PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
- Strong mathematic background.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas: electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, protein chemistry, surface chemistry, and biomanufacturing/bioprocessing.
- Leadership experience.
- Great communication and mentorship skills.
- Experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) efforts.
- Additional scientific skills: quartz crystal microbalance, microfluidics, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, attenuated tunneling reflectance - Fourier transform infrared, atomic force microscopy, and other surface analysis techniques.
- Electrochemistry knowledge: familiarity with communication tools, Slack, Zoom, and Teams.
