**Position Overview**
The University System of New Hampshire invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Theoretical High Energy Physics or Computational Cosmology at the rank of Assistant Professor. This faculty member will join an active group in theoretical high energy physics and complement the existing strengths in particle physics, astroparticle physics, cosmology, nuclear astrophysics, and quantum gravity.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain a highly productive research program that includes both undergraduate and graduate students
• Successfully obtain external funding for research projects
• Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (approx. two total classes per year)
• Contribute to department, college, university, and professional service activities
Requirements
• Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field
• Postdoctoral experience preferred
• Ability to lead in an increasingly diverse cultural, social, and ethnic community
Preferred Qualifications
• Research experience in computational cosmology, particle theory, or quantum gravity
• Strong teaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
