Position Overview

Bitcoin Depot is in search of a Director of Accounting who will be instrumental in facilitating the company's financial growth as part of the accounting division. This role involves close collaboration with the Controller to establish accounting guidelines, oversee the annual audit, and enhance operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will be adept at both tactical and strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end closing process
  • Analyze large volumes of data for account reconciliations
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual audit processes with the Controller
  • Set performance expectations for direct reports
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX standards in financial statement preparation
  • Collaborate with the finance team on monthly budget variances

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a public company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA License
  • Experience with month-end closing procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven management experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial reporting
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in accounting practices
  • Strong team-building and business partnering skills
