Your Role

As the Project Coordinator for Federal Programs, you will be the primary liaison for contract and project oversight with the Department of Defense (DoD) across various regions. This position will emphasize the management of MILCON facilities and infrastructure while promoting federal growth through collaboration with existing clients and other service units. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional services tailored to client needs. The ideal candidate will be based in the Eastern United States, with a preference for specific metropolitan areas, but we are open to a national search for the right fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage project scope, budget, and timelines, including risk assessment and change management.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all contracts related to the project.
  • Manage the project team throughout all phases, including design, construction, testing, and handover.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication between various project teams and stakeholders.
  • Excel in all aspects of project management, including program development, budgeting, planning, design, and project closure.
  • Provide accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Draft project work orders, purchase orders, service contracts, and change orders.
  • Lead and maintain positive relationships with client representatives and service providers.
  • Drive the client's vision forward.
Qualifications

Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proven experience in project management services, including contract management for public sector clients, particularly with the US Department of Defense.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver a variety of projects for the US Federal Government.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts/projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to understanding the complexities of working with federal government counterparts.
  • Experience in building sustainable relationships with federal DoD clients and external design partners.
  • Existing connections with US government clients, especially within the Department of Defense, are highly desirable.
  • Understanding of performance-based marketing and its role in securing new work through excellence.
  • Familiarity with developing government fee proposals and understanding technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Establish and monitor project budgets, ensuring quality control and adherence to schedules.
  • Manage multiple subcontractors across various contracts.
  • Knowledge of Federal DoD contractual procedures and delivery order contracts.
  • Understanding of DOD facility requirements and infrastructure standards.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage resources effectively.
  • Proactive leadership style with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in a collaborative environment with skilled professionals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered professional or accredited status is preferred. Proven experience as a Project Manager with a successful track record in managing multiple consulting projects.
This position primarily involves office work, with occasional site visits. Fieldwork may expose you to various weather conditions.
