Power System Protection Manager

Position Summary:
ECI is currently seeking a skilled Power System Protection Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the estimation, tracking, coordination, and communication of power system protection projects across various disciplines.
The Power System Protection Manager will also support engineering teams in executing projects, which includes developing system models, conducting short circuit analyses, establishing relay settings, performing area coordination studies, creating standards, analyzing relay operations, and reviewing technical drawings and relay settings. Additionally, mentoring junior engineers leading projects through direct training and work review will be a key responsibility.
This position will report directly to the Vice President of System Protection and will manage specialized customer protection requests.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in protection or protection project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with SEL Relay Settings.
- Proficiency in project estimation, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting fast-paced project timelines.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred. Candidates may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checks. Occasional travel may be required, and candidates must meet ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Sponsorship for employment visa status is not available.
