Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Griswold Lab in the School of Molecular Biosciences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research project and contribute to ongoing laboratory projects investigating the role of vitamin A in testicular function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments in the lab to investigate the role of vitamin A in testicular function.
  • Present research findings through poster and oral presentations, as well as peer-reviewed publications.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students in the lab and provide guidance on research techniques and methodologies.
  • Coordinate and manage daily lab operations, including quality control and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develop and implement new research techniques and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory projects.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience with histological and microscopy techniques, as well as bioinformatics and gene expression profiling.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and EndNote.
  • Ability to problem-solve and learn new experimental techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of mammalian reproduction, especially male.
