Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating compliance activities system-wide relating to the Clery Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate system Clery Compliance Committee and develop policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with Clery Act requirements.
  • Assess crime statistics for inclusion in annual security reports and facilitate multi-disciplinary committees to gather information.
  • Draft and publish annual security reports, including collecting and analyzing data from various sources.
  • Conduct pre-employment background investigations for prospective Police Department employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
  • No previous felony convictions to meet FBI requirements for data access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of work experience in a law enforcement agency as a police officer or in a capacity working with police records.
  • One (1) year work experience in an institution of higher education with responsibilities related to Clery compliance.
Additional Information

This is a full-time, 12-month position. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
