WORKING AT A HOSPITAL

REPORT TO: Housekeeping/Maintenance Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW: Ensuring that the hospital's environment is maintained in a clean, organized, and welcoming manner is essential for providing optimal care for patients and supporting staff efficiency. Housekeepers are tasked with a variety of responsibilities including dusting, sanitizing surfaces and equipment, mopping floors, managing waste disposal, rearranging furniture, and other related activities.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:
  • Position: Full-time, consisting of five 8-hour shifts each week, primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday with one weekend shift per month. Shift timing: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
License/Registration/Certification:
  • N/A
Experience:
  • Experience in hospital housekeeping is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Strong prioritization skills to effectively meet daily deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management skills for oneself and others.
  • Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Consistent performance of repetitive tasks while adhering to established procedures.
  • Flexibility to transition between various tasks efficiently without loss of productivity.
