POSITION TITLE: Direct Marketing Specialist II

DEPARTMENT: Marketing-Direct Marketing

GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H16-Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Direct Marketing Supervisor

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB SUMMARY: Create offers and one-to-one communications to customers.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create offer matrices for use by various casino departments and print vendors to execute marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to develop and execute marketing initiatives
  • Build offers within the offer management systems, associate patrons to offers, transfer guest information via secured site to vendors, coordinate mailshop process, and communicate with vendors throughout mailing process to meet deadlines
  • Record offer costs and production costs within the offer management systems
  • Maintain current operating knowledge of Direct Marketing system functions to effectively coordinate marketing projects
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Coordinate list loads in the event management system with offer mailings
  • Request creative design for offers and work closely with vendors to ensure timelines and creative standards are met
  • Review vendor proofs to ensure grammatical correctness, regulatory compliance, and accuracy with regards to offer matrix and guest play data
  • Process offer redemption
  • Prepare and communicate offer overviews and telemarketing lists
  • Prepare offer results reports to meet regulatory requirements
  • Provide Internet Marketing support via e-marketing, social marketing, online media campaigns,
    pre-stay/post-stay e-mails, newsletters, and other online initiatives
  • Create and execute text alerts through mobile database
  • Maintain up to date working knowledge of email marketing systems by participating in online training and user calls
  • Provide support to the Social Media Specialist in updating the website content and managing social media platform
  • Respond to offer related inquiries from external and internal customers
  • Be a participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
  • Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees
  • Conduct special projects
  • Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or related field or two years marketing experience required, with a concentration in database marketing and development of marketing campaigns preferred
  • Six months to one year copywriting and proofreading experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and with a familiarity of Access program
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organization and time management skills
