Job Summary

The Patient Service Associate plays a pivotal role in providing a positive patient experience by greeting and registering patients upon arrival. This role is responsible for all front desk operations, including scheduling patients, answering phone calls, scanning medical records, and collecting insurance information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Registration: Schedule patients for appointments and register them upon arrival, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Phone and Email Management: Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Medical Records Management: Scan and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Insurance and Billing: Collect and verify insurance information, process payments, and post charges accurately and efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and staff members.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction and care.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
