Payroll Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Cozen O'Connor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of the payroll supervisor and specialist, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Payroll Department, including human resource issues, performance evaluations, and training and support for new team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with payroll vendors, including ADP.
- Coordinate with other departments, including finance and human resources, to ensure seamless payroll processing.
- Lead payroll-related projects, including new software implementation and review of jurisdictional requirements.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and properly followed, and assist with developing additional controls.
- Identify and address special needs for various legal practices.
- Manage year-end processes, including tax form preparation and summaries for employees.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory and payroll experience.
- Prior experience in a law firm and working knowledge of payroll software (ADP) are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to supervise a team in a continuously changing environment.
- Ability to identify risk areas and implement necessary processes to manage risks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for Windows, with advanced Excel skills.
