Sales and Customer Experience Manager

About the Role:

Macy's is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Customer Experience Manager to lead our sales floor and customer service team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a productive and enthusiastic team that delivers exceptional customer experiences and meets sales goals.
  • Lead Macy's initiatives through coaching and recognition, while optimizing productivity and efficiency.
  • Review and utilize sales data to provide colleague recognition and develop strategies to improve results.
  • Manage selling support, including stockroom, signing, equipment, and merchandising.
  • Support other operational areas, such as OMNI, Style, and Asset Protection.
  • Conduct talent analysis and establish career progression plans to retain top talent and reduce turnover.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, develop, and evaluate direct and indirect reports.
  • Work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5+ years of management experience in a department or retail store.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite and handheld devices.
  • Ability to work well with customers and colleagues.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the store or department.
  • Reach with hands and arms, use hands to press, handle, and feel.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
