Position Overview

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations within our facility. This role involves collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team committed to providing essential care to individuals facing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and guiding a team of nursing professionals and direct care staff during critical situations.
  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, planning interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Implementing health education initiatives and managing case responsibilities.
  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations.
  • Ensuring high-quality care delivery through effective leadership and departmental support.
  • Overseeing staff scheduling and providing mentorship to nursing personnel.
Job Type and Compensation

Employment Type: Full Time
Annual Salary: $78,500 plus a comprehensive benefits package
FLSA Status: Exempt

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Oklahoma registered nurse license or a license recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Three years of professional nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role; or
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing with two years of professional experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity; or
  • A master's degree in nursing with one year of supervisory experience.
Special Requirements

Applicants must be able to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling a maximum force of 25 pounds. A valid driver's license is required for job-related travel.
