Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Affiliate Operations Specialist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. This role will provide general support to our site office and providers, managing employee concerns and serving as an outward-facing part of the HR Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory trainings, continuing education, annual health assessments, and work evaluations, ensuring employee records are current and meet The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and New York Department of Health (NYDOH) standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all credentialing and onboarding, managing multiple new providers' progress throughout this process.
  • Maintain relationships with providers and staff by checking in periodically to keep them informed and engaged.
  • Lead and facilitate recurring new hire orientation and other activities, providing hands-on guidance for timesheet processing, benefits, continuing medical education (CME), payroll, and holiday calendars.
  • Manage all HRIS transactions in a timely fashion, making change requests and ensuring accuracy.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with site leadership, Medical Staff Office (MSO), Occupational Health Services (OHS), H+H Human Resources Partners, Chiefs/Chairs, and other stakeholders.
  • Handle routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements.
Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and/or experience, plus three years of related experience in the healthcare setting. HR Certification preferred.
  • The ability to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Consistently displays the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently, with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
