Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to site leadership, including budget vs. actual expenses, grant funding utilization, and site program expenses.
  • Financial Analysis: Monitor and maintain site budget, including payroll and other expense reporting, and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Financial Compliance: Review outside services/subcontractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract terms, and monitor and reconcile payroll expenditures for compliance with contract terms, policies, and procedures.
  • Financial Decision Support: Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions, including payroll and accounting team functions and contract negotiations.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Create and send ad-hoc reports as needed to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Financial Analysis Skills: Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret financial terms in union collective bargaining agreements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to summarize reports into meaningful information.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent Excel and analytical skills, and familiarity with creating reports in payroll and accounting systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other related field preferred.
