Healthcare Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Operations Specialist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our site office and providers.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Training: Manage compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, ensuring employee records are current and meet The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and New York Department of Health (NYDOH) standards.
- Credentialing and Onboarding: Act as the primary point of contact for all credentialing and onboarding, managing multiple new providers' progress throughout the process.
- Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with providers and staff by checking in periodically to keep them informed and engaged.
- HRIS Management: Manage all HRIS transactions in a timely fashion, making change requests and ensuring accuracy.
- Communication and Collaboration: Build and maintain successful relationships with site leadership, Medical Staff Office (MSO), Occupational Health Services (OHS), H+H Human Resources Partners, Chiefs/Chairs, and other stakeholders.
- Labor Relations and Inquiries: Handle routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and/or experience, plus three years of related experience in the healthcare setting. HR Certification preferred.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Integrity and Confidentiality: Consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Technical Skills: Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
- Work Environment: Ability to work independently and efficiently, with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
