Job Overview

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5p. As a Patient Registration Coordinator, you will be the initial point of contact for patients entering a healthcare facility. Your responsibilities will include welcoming and checking in patients, gathering necessary patient information, processing payments, assisting with required documentation, and performing various customer service and administrative tasks. You will be accountable for managing patient registration and discharge processes, ensuring appropriate patient placement with healthcare providers, verifying insurance benefits, and arranging financial plans to optimize reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient registration and discharge procedures.
  • Ensure accurate collection of patient information and payments.
  • Assist patients with necessary paperwork and documentation.
  • Verify insurance benefits and coordinate financial arrangements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience.
Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a medical office environment is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and understand medical coding, including ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Familiarity with interpreting insurance information and knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
