Registration Specialist

Monday-Friday 8-5p. A patient representative serves as the first point of contact for patients when they enter a medical facility. They greet and check-in patients, get patient information, collect payments, assist with necessary paperwork, and fulfill other customer service or administrative duties. Responsible for processing registration and discharge of patients, appropriate placement of patients with providers, verifying insurance benefits, and making financial arrangements to ensure maximum reimbursement.
Prefer previous experience with registration in a medical office setting
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Prefer relevant experience in a health care setting.
- Ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding preferred.
- Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
