Job Title: Principal, HR Business Partner

CoStar Group is seeking a Principal, HR Business Partner to support leaders and employees across CoStar Group Finance, Marketing & Communications, and Legal organizations.

Job Summary:

The Principal, HR Business Partner will advise business stakeholders on people-related matters and lead HR initiatives and programs across the client group. This role offers a schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic advisor and HR partner for senior corporate leaders.
  • Possess a keen understanding of the overarching strategy of the business with the ability to counsel leaders to enable growth of the business, drive retention, and develop career strategies for our people.
  • Lead discussions with Executive Business Leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategies.
  • Coach managers to aid in their effectiveness, foster highly functioning and engaged teams, and drive a thriving corporate culture.
  • Predict, assess, and determine business needs in the areas of organizational design, staffing, performance management, succession planning, development, and communication plans.
  • Partner with other HR functions to identify, evaluate, and drive forward key initiatives.
  • Contribute to the strategy and development of a best-in-class HR organization.
  • Mitigate and analyze situations to resolve complex HR challenges that arise and advise managers with actionable items to mitigate issues and concerns to always protect the company.
  • Additional projects as needed (process improvement, training facilitation).
  • Lead discussions with senior leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategies.
  • Develop enhanced people-related communication strategies that drive engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  • 12+ years of related experience in a strategic role advising business leaders on people-related strategies.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise across HR functions including - Organizational Design, Talent Development, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, and Compensation planning.
  • Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within the Workday HRIS platform.
  • Experience within the commercial real estate industry, digital marketplace, or information technology company strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively resolve issues through active listening, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Successful candidate will be self-directed with demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage time.

This position offers a base salary range of $131,300 - $225,500, based on relevant skills and experience, and includes a generous benefits plan.
