Power & Controls Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in daily maintenance activities within the designated area, effectively organizing and delegating tasks to technicians and electricians in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.
- Allocate approximately 50% of time to communication, administrative tasks, and the development of supervisory skills, alongside equipment assessments and cost management.
- Dedicate the remaining 50% of time to maintenance-related functions.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work collaboratively with others, recognizing and addressing priority conflicts, while fostering effective relationships with plant maintenance, engineering, and operational staff.
- Participate in equipment failure analysis, contributing to findings, conclusions, recommendations, and report preparation.
- Contribute to the design and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to time, budget, and other constraints.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize theories, concepts, and techniques, applying a solid understanding of related disciplines.
- Adapt to changes in daily work plans based on evolving needs.
- Address a variety of troubleshooting challenges, leveraging knowledge of process control and electrical systems to propose corrective actions.
Professional Development:
- Gain recognition among peers for expertise in the power and controls sector.
- Collaborate with process engineers and production teams, maintaining integrity and upholding organizational values.
- Develop and review work plans for preventive maintenance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Performance Metrics:
- Demonstrate technical supervision and instruction capabilities as indicators for potential promotion.
- Establish a foundation of hands-on experience and technical assignments, preparing for future responsibilities and advancement opportunities within the maintenance group.
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement of an Associate's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience in a comparable tradesman role.
