Job Description

The ADM Cogeneration Plant is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems in our Cogeneration Plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recommend changes, modifications, or upgrades to equipment to improve operations and reliability.
  • Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Participate in plant safety and quality programs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, including rotating electrical equipment, variable frequency drives, motor controls, switchgear, and battery systems.
  • Work knowledgeably and understand standard electrical work practices and guidelines, including those outlined by the National Fire Protection Agency (NEC) and the IEEE.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical power and control equipment.
  • Perform as a team member or independently to support planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance and project activities.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills and working knowledge of manual and powered tools.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing situations.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Desire to learn and grow with the company.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Technical aptitude in plant electrical systems, including motor controls and voltage levels.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment, including voltmeters and process meters.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing equipment and instruments.
  • Knowledge of AD/DC circuit theory.
  • Demonstrated participation in plant safety programs.
  • Experience with process sensors and transmitters.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety devices.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move about or to a work site by ascending/descending stairs, bending, kneeling, and prolonged periods of standing and sitting.
  • Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights.
  • Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to walk up to two miles during the course of a workday over uneven ground surfaces.
