Responsible for assisting client families with immediate cemetery arrangements and promoting pre-need services, the Sales Consultant provides outstanding personalized service and plays a vital role in generating revenue for the cemetery while serving as the primary liaison for families.

Lead Generation Responsibilities

  • Takes personal responsibility for prospecting at least 1-2 hours daily.
  • Secures referrals from families served.
  • Engages in networking and builds community relationships.
  • Conducts informative presentations for families served and referred clients.
  • Monitors and tracks activity levels to ensure productivity.

Building Relationships with Families

  • Addresses client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Connects with families through active listening and sincere communication.
  • Understands each family's unique requirements and offers valuable solutions.
  • Maintains contact with families to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Prepares for all meetings and executes all procedures with professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Resolves all customer issues and requests effectively.
  • Cultivates trust-based relationships to encourage referrals.
  • Educates families on the advantages of pre-planning to earn the right to request referrals.

Team Collaboration

  • Acts as a continuous link from immediate services to aftercare and future family protection.
  • Collaborates with funeral directors, location managers, and other team members to deliver seamless, high-quality service.
  • Shares family concerns with the SCI team for improved service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of college education or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • High school equivalency and 1-2 years of college or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales.

Licenses

  • Valid state/province driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Insurance license if mandated by state/province regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must successfully complete the Company's internal presentation certification within thirty days of employment.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Frequent driving required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance license if required.
  • Flexible working hours, with the capacity to work up to 12 hours on certain days.
  • Empathy and respect in interactions with others.
  • Proficient in computer usage and software applications.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Compensation

This role includes bonuses and commissions, with average total earnings of $100,000 in the third year.
