Job Overview

Position: IT Project Manager/Insurance Business Process (Remote)

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months

Role Summary:

Under the guidance of a project manager, this role provides essential project support to enhance ongoing process evaluation and improvement, aligning with business strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver project management assistance to ensure effective implementation and enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer service. Collaborate with project managers to comprehend business requirements and engage with business leaders in project planning.

2. Conduct analysis and provide decision-making support to help achieve critical business objectives. Collaborate across various disciplines to gather insights, perform analyses, and present recommendations to management for continuous improvement. Compile and synthesize feedback from project stakeholders and subject matter experts to guide decision-making. Generate reports utilizing relevant internal and external data.

3. Assist in defining performance metrics for processes, assess data availability, inform operational reporting teams of necessary metrics, and develop tools to monitor process performance.

4. Create comprehensive project documentation, including status updates, project plans, presentations, meeting notes, communications, and other pertinent materials.

5. Aid the project manager in resource gathering, schedule maintenance, guiding project team members, and executing administrative responsibilities.

6. May serve as the business project manager for initiatives with limited external stakeholder engagement.

7. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Structure:
Typically reports to higher management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with the insurance sector and a solid understanding of the organization's products, services, goals, and objectives.

2. Strong analytical, organizational, and planning capabilities.

3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

4. Solid skills in business process modeling and analysis.

5. Proficient in facilitating meetings of moderate complexity.

6. Strong understanding of project management principles.

7. Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.

8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction to drive project and program initiatives.

Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in insurance business process design.
