Front Desk Supervisor

The Hotel Zamora is a luxury boutique hotel that boasts Mediterranean-inspired architecture, stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and top-notch amenities. The hotel is also home to Castile Restaurant, which serves dishes inspired by the flavors of the world's most exciting coastal seaports, highlighting products from surrounding farms and fishing areas. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, we invite guests to relax, rejuvenate, escape everyday life, and experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Pool, and Meeting/Banquet space.
Job Responsibilities- Guest Service: Ensure all guests are welcomed and served in an efficient and courteous manner, executing all brand standards during the process.
- Front Desk Operations: Assure required Front Desk supplies are readily available to best serve the guest.
- Guest Complaints: Act as the first management line of contact for all guest complaints or issues.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all Front Office quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied.
- Financial Transactions: Assure all financial transactions are completed properly and within the established guidelines of the property.
- Sales and Revenue: Responsible for the preparation, upkeep, and management of sales throughout the day and at night.
- Interdepartmental Communication: Coordinate hotel operations with other departments in order to facilitate increased levels of communication and guest satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and lead a team.
- Manager on Duty: Act as Manager on Duty and supervise operations.
- Coverage: Assist with coverage as needed in all areas of responsibility.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality-related environment, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment.
- Education: High School or equivalent education required.
- Skills: Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills, and budgetary analysis capabilities required.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the hotel, services, and facilities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding health and safety services.
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors/external parties, and across internal divisions.
